New PhD Opportunity

We are seeking a new PhD student to join our team as soon as possible (and ideally before Spring 2023). This position is fully funded. It involves small scale mechanical testing coupled with acoustic emission and ultrasonic diagnostics for leak detection in high temperature piping infrastructure.

Some desirable background expertise includes:

• Mechanical testing (nanoindentation, creep testing, tensile testing, high temperature testing)
• Scanning electron microscopy
• Design of experimental instrumentation
• Non-destructive diagnostics (acoustic emission and/or ultrasonics)
